We believe we can make the greatest impact in a child’s life by providing normalcy, dignity, and individualization during their time living at Christ’s Haven For Children. Because of that, we are thrilled to share how Christ’s Haven’s newest program, Sunshine Spaces, fits perfectly into what we do.

Sunshine Spaces previously operated as an independent non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and joy to children battling terminal illness through home makeovers. The founder of Sunshine Spaces, Erica Jones, is dissolving the 501c3 and is coming under the direction of Christ’s Haven For Children as its newest employee while also bringing with her the unique and meaningful program model of Sunshine Spaces.

The purpose behind Sunshine Spaces translates well into the work we are already doing at Christ’s Haven to bring normalcy & dignity to the children who are here due to abuse and/or neglect. We plan to provide the same level of WOW! moments when the kids living at Christ’s Haven get to have their own personalized Dream Room makeovers reflecting their favorite hobbies and interests. We want this space to serve as a refuge of hope and a reminder of how much they are loved, valued, and seen.

As our new Director of Strategic Innovation at Christ’s Haven For Children, Erica will continue to use her creative gifts and talents while also implementing her vision of bringing hope and joy to children. The addition of this program will provide even more opportunities for our community to support and bring hope to children during their time living at Christ’s Haven. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for more information as we roll out the Sunshine Spaces makeovers across our campus in 2020.

We are passionate about allowing God to use our homes as an avenue to healing and restoration, and we can’t wait for you to join us in this exciting opportunity. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information on getting involved.
