The People Making Things Happen
Rhonda Thomas-Peters
We’d like you to meet Rhonda Thomas-Peters, our Food Pantry Manager, who began working at Christ’s Haven in 2019.

What is your job like?
“I do a small part to keep the Food Pantry stocked and clean to help ease the job of our house parents on campus. Our donors and volunteers do the rest!”
Why did you want to work at Christ’s Haven?
“I had not heard of Christ’s Haven before working here. I had to Google them before my interview. After seeing the campus, meeting the people here and learning all that they do, I was thrilled to join such an amazing place and be able to call it my job.”
What is the most fulfilling & motivating part of your job?
“Knowing that I am helping families both on and off our campus.”
What is one of the most memorable/special moments here?
“We were all thrown a curve ball when COVID hit and shut downs began. I was so worried that our donations would stop coming in because of the uncertainty we all faced. By May of 2020, the support just kept coming in. It never stopped! It was such a blessing and beautiful reminder to trust that God will always make a way and provide.”
What are your personal hobbies, interests, or interesting qualities?
“I enjoy yoga and exercise, reading, hiking, being outdoors. Oddly enough, I also enjoy cleaning and organizing.”
What is your personal life motto?
“When in doubt, pray.”
