Christ’s Haven is thrilled to announce that we were selected as a grant recipient of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) to develop and fund our Family Resource Center.

The Family Resource Center (FRC) was created to stand in the gap for families in need. Families can find a range of services – from parenting classes, to counseling, to food boxes, and more – all in one place.

Our goal is to serve families in our community who are in crisis, including families at risk of placing their children outside of their homes or going into foster care. We aim to provide whole family care and wrap-around support to the biological families of children in our residential program. We also want to support and come alongside families who are pursuing reunification.

An additional component of our FRC is to provide quality community education. We had a great response to our webinar in August for families “Navigating & Advocating in Special Education.” And we will soon host the free webinar, “Parenting in a Digital World,” on October 4. You can REGISTER HERE.

As Christ’s Haven grows, we continue to stay committed to our mission and core values of providing normalcy, dignity, and hope to displaced children, teens, and young adults. We are grateful for these new opportunities to further expand that support and meet needs in our community.

If you would like more information about utilizing FRC services or would like to help with the FRC, you can contact Logan Layn, Family Resource Coordinator/Case Manager, logan@christshaven.org.
